'Musician Portraits' by Joe Simpson

'Musician Portraits' is a new project in progress by Joe Simpson. The project is a series of paintings of famous singers, musicians and bands. There are a number of high profile and notable acts already involved, including Mark Ronson, Faithless, Paloma Faith and Iron & Wine.

Joe is approaching his favourite musicians from a wide range of musical genres and nationalities to include in the series. The project is set to be a unique exhibition, with a fantastic line up of some of the best musicians in the industry. Once the subjects have agreed to be included in the series, Joe meets up with each artist to take original photographs to work from to create an original oil painting. Joe is aiming to complete around 30 paintings for the series.
