Travel by Tim Navis

Tim Navis is a Los Angeles based photographer who accidentally fell into photography. Originally a painter, he purchased a camera to photograph his paintings. After a few months of photographing paintings and other random things, he began shooting friends. Long story short, Tim has carved a niche for himself and continues to grow and learn as an artist and professional photographer.


Dot

The world's smallest stop-motion animation character shot on a Nokia N8.



Professor Fletcher's invention of the CellScope, which is a Nokia device with a microscope attachment, was the inspiration for a teeny-tiny film created by Sumo Science at Aardman. It stars a 9mm girl called Dot as she struggles through a microscopic world. All the minuscule detail was shot using CellScope technology and a Nokia N8, with its 12 megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics.

STA Travel Australia sent Rick Mereki, Andrew Lees and Tim White on an amazing journey around the world.
3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage... all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food... into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films...

Gulp

'Gulp' is a short film created by Sumo Science at Aardman, depicting a fisherman going about his daily catch. Shot on location at Pendine Beach in South Wales, every frame of this stop-motion animation was shot using a Nokia N8. The film has broken a world record for the 'largest stop-motion animation set', with the largest scene stretching over 11,000 square feet.
